Q - Dear Annabelle,
how should i flirt with a girl
A - Dear Colby,
At 11, the Îbigâ thing is to just be happy that there ARE girls...you donât want to rush this...trust me! Not everyone is Îreadyâ for Îflirtingâ at the same time, so a long slow warm-up is best. By that, I mean, instead of being obvious and just smiling broadly at Miss Whomever, although that alone might work, you might consider something a little more low key like asking for help with your English, (or something), homework in exchange for your help with math, (or whatever). Comments, (occasionally), like Îyou do that really wellâ, or Îyou make that look so easy!â, are usually good. Learning to tell simple, but intelligent jokes may be a little premature, and not everyone does them well. You might also consider using the H.E.L.P. formula.
**H.E.L.P**
ÎHâ Ask her about her hobbies, what she does for fun, you know, stuff like that.
ÎEâ Ask her about her education...school......what classes she likes/doesnât like,... that
sort of thing. Help her with a difficult class or ask her to help YOU! (Strangely
enough, you can make friends by asking someone to help you with something).
ÎLâ Ask her about her Îlifestyleâ..........what she likes to do when she just Îhangs outâ
with friends and stuff. Does she go to church or synagogue?
ÎPâ Ask her about her plans for the future, and such. What would she like to
do when she grows up, does she have a long list or a short list of things-to-do in
life? (By the way, the most desirable people have a real ENTHUSIASM for
life.......and young MEN who are excited about all the wonderful things theyâre
going to do in the world are....get this.......REALLY desirable to young women ;)
Anyway, remember that all of this for the next several years is just Îpracticeâ..donât take it too seriously and remember to notice when someone ELSE does something that seems to work.....or doesnât work. Just take noes and maintain a good sense of humor. The path just ahead gets pretty bumpy, but youâll survive more easily if you can keep your wits and sense of the ridiculous about you.
