Q - Dear Annabelle,
What to do when the guy you want to marry will not quit drinking beer, and taking pills
even thouogh he says he will?
A - Dear Melissa,
You recognize the fact that beer drinking and pill taking are more important.......and will always be more important....than you are. Too, youâre seventeen. If you were half a decade older youâd have more of the life experience to make this decision for yourself.....this is one of the reasons that 17, while a wonderful age for having romantic entanglements, is not a good age to make decisions about whom you will choose, not only as marital partner, but as the father of your children.
Melissa, when you find a fellow who treats you like a jewel, who is of excellent character, who has taken the time and trouble to get a superior education so he can position himself well in the financial world and provide for wife and family.....THEN is when you consider marriage.
Remember, what someone SAYS they will do is not of interest.....what they DO is what counts. Our actions are who we are, not our intentions. Now, what ACTIONS are YOU taking to insure your attractiveness to a first quality male? (The answer, by the way, has to do with YOUR getting an excellent education in preparation for an excellent career as well.)
- Annabelle
