Q - Dear Annabelle,
I met a girl about 5 months ago , and we hit it off really well and, as time went on, she
finally confessed she loved me. I already loved her though, or it seems that way. Here are some signs I have noticed that make me think she really does love me, and I her. Whenever I look at her she always smiles, and here's the thing, when she smile her eyes light up it like I see our future when she smile like that. She had to move but she says she will not give up. It's not across the world or anything, just 60 miles. When I'm with her I'm in a daze, I can't get her off my mind and vice versa, I would do anything for her. I've never felt this way before. I've changed my attitude because of her. I also write her poetry, so .....is it love???

Yes, itās Īloveā, and 17 year old do write lovely poetry. Thatās just one of most everyoneās happiest memories. Now, 60 miles is going to wear thin pretty quickly .....thatās just the way that is. Actually, if you spend your time doing your schoolwork and then writing to her or calling her, at least you wonāt be out in the real world dating others and youāll actually get your schoolwork done. THATāS the important stuff right now. Meanwhile, enjoy these feelings to the fullest....this is a time when your life is uncomplicated by reality and other stuff that you donāt need to know about right now. Go read other Īadolescentā letters..not the ones from the kinds whose brains fell out along with their values, but the ones from the kids whoāve got their heads screwed on straight. Youāll have some idea of whatās going on and how to deal with stuff..have fun, enjoy this special time...and store it safely in your memories for days when things may be stressful.
