Q - Dear Annabelle, Do you think that it is ok for a guy to wear pantyhose if he wants to? I am not saying dresses and all that just pantyhose. People say that it is not right but i say it is. Back a long time ago it was not right for girls to wear pants and a lot of things that girls wear today that were made for guys. In case you're not, lets take a look at a couple of things, Now, if this is just Īnormal teen age rebellionā, well, then thatās what it is. Teenagers just do weird things.....thatās just part of the stuff this age does. Now, I assume you are prepared, (all of the remainder of your life), for you to have someone who remembers you at 18, saying, ĪHey, Andy, YOU used to wear pantyhose!ā ...at the most inappropriate times. Did guys used to wear tights? Absolutely......! They also wore wigs, ribbons and laces and high heels. I know that trends develop slowly, what I donāt know is your particular interest in wearing an article of clothing associated with the female sex. If youāre having gender identity issues, then I absolutely advise against the pantyhose. Youāre a guy and itās important that you develop in what are called Īsocietally expected and normalā guy ways. That doesnāt mean that you have to be a crude jock, it does mean that you get in touch with your feminine side only after youāve gotten your Īguynessā down pat. Life is long and there are some things you donāt want to be on the fence about! Now, pantyhose, in the winter especially, are warm and certainly make it easier to slip into clothing. Do whatever you want to. Just be aware that the teasing, at a time when consolidating your place within the social group is in your best interests, may not be something you can comfortably handle. Fashion trends come and go, and there are lots of things you can do to rebel. Making people wonder about your Īmalenessā is not a good idea....especially at 18! - Annabelle
