Do You Think She's Worth It?

Submitted by: Confused

Q - Dear Annabelle,
I dated this girl about a year ago, and then broke up with her. It was she who let me go, so I still had, (or still do; mixed emotions), feelings for her. The year went by and we didn't keep in contact at all. It wasn't until recently that I've been seeing her around. The past few times I've recently talked to her, she's been nice to me, (you know, not grudging). I've been thinking of whether it is worth the risk of talkin' to her about getting back together. Do you think it's worth it? She's a great girl. Help Me Please.

A - Dear Confused,

Thereās an old, yet boringly true, statement to the effect that, Īwhat once broke up a relationship will do so againā. Absent either of you maturing and changing enough to have dealt with whatever it was that caused the breakup, Īgoing backā isnāt a good answer. Since you can never Īgo backā in any case, itās best that you look ahead. Take your cue from her, but keep in mind what I have already told you.
- Annabelle
