Q - Dear Annabelle,
I think I am falling for my best guy friend. We've dated before but it never works.
Should I tell him, wait, or just stay friends?
A - Dear Kristina-Maria,
Well, at 16, this isnāt the fellow youāre going to marry, in any case, so I suppose thereās no harm in just being your usual sunny self and letting him take the initiative. I donāt know what you mean when you say, Ī We've dated before but it never worksā, so just working on becoming the most charming and delightful young woman that you can be would always be in your best interests. Adolescence and young adulthood are all about learning how to Ībeā in the world and trying on differing personnas to see which one feels most comfortable is a good idea. Too, thereās so much change going on in everyoneās life in this age group that itās not particularly useful to take anything too terribly seriously......(as though you couldnāt).....I know itās hard and confusing..just try to maintain your sense of humor. That seems to get most people through this particularly confusing time much more easily.
- Annabelle
