Q - Dear Annabelle,
My girlfriend just broke up with me 2 days ago, in 2 days it would of been 4 months. I think that I really love her, but she says that she has lost her affection for me. This hurts me in many ways that I can't explain. She says that our relationship was the best one she has ever had and that she cares for me a lot and that she wants to be friends. I guess I would like to know what I could do to possibly win her affection back. I tried giving her flowers but she says that she can't change how she feels. I really love her and I guess if she really wants to be friends I will do it for her but I really want to know if it would be possible to get her back somehow.
A - Dear Dan,
I just sent a letter to your friend and Iâm going to copy the same thing to you......(it applies to both of you.) I notice youâre sharing the same email address! Youâre young, and that you know that flowers are a good idea shows that you have a great future! Donât fret if you canât win back her affection, there will be others..lots of them. Youâre on the right track. Youâll be fine. Her Îaffectionâ didnât Îgoâ anywhere........itâs just that youâre both very young. This is the start of all of the feelings that youâre both going to need to learn to deal with over the next decade and more. Keep your sense of humor.....youâre going to need it.....and, donât forget those flowers!
- Annabelle
