How Do I Ask This Girl Out?

Submitted by: Colin

Q - Dear Annabelle,
There is this girl in my school who I really like and I think that she likes me. I have done every thing for her to show her that I like her, (example: buy's her things, give her money if she needs it, go out of my way to take her where ever she wants to go.Basically whatever she wants, I'll have it for her by the next day). The only thing I haven't done is say "I love you". Every time I try to ask her out my legs got week and start to shake, my stomach starts to feel funny, and I can't get to say anything....(If you didn't guess already I am super shy). What should I do?

A - Dear Colin,

Well, you can continue as you are or you can change and ask her out. What youâre probably afraid of is that if you ask her out and she says Înoâ, your heart will break and youâll lose her. Thatâs true. So, YOU get to make the decision to to take the Îdefaultâ position and let her go to some other fellow, which may happen in either case, or to ask her out and begin the process of claiming her for your own. ÎLoving from afarâ is romantic only until the lady in question rides off into the sunset with someone else.....who mustered the courage to ask her out. Colin....youâll live through this..no matter what happens, so do DO it and move yourself a couple of squares down the board on the road to maturity. OK?

Now, as to the words.....how about, "Nancy, we're going to see 'Patch Adams' , (or whatever), on Saturday, what time would you like me to pick you up? Let's get a pizza afterwards ok?" (Girls LOVE guys who 'have a plan'.......it makes the guys seem strong and masterful).
