I Hugged All Of His Friends.

Q - Dear Annabelle,
My friend Moha and I have never talked about love, but last semester when our university was breaking-up for holidays he told me how jealous he was because I had hugged all of his friends goodbye but not him, and that he wanted a hug. I stayed away. I need to know that do you think that he was serious and could you give me advice on how I should respond because I don't love him but see him as a very nice friend. I would love it if you could answer me. ÊThank you very much.

A - Dear T,

You could, when he says things like that, give him a hug too. There are lots of different kinds of hugs, and a Îhugâ for a friend is simply the kind that you gave to the others. Smile pleasantly and thank him for his interest. You owe him nothing more than your pleasant company. I would guess that you DIDN'T hug him when you hugged the others because you suspected his interest in you.
- Annabelle
