I Have Feelings For An Old Flame.

Submitted by: Kelly

Q - Dear Annabelle,
I have a current boyfriend of one year who I am very much in love with. However, I still have feelings for an old flame. What should I do?

A - Dear Kelly,

Youâre 18, and, at 18, feelings in young women are very elastic...thatâs just the way the maturational curve works. At about 25 youâll be more stable. These adolescent years are for learning about yourself and about Îhow you areâ in the world. Donât take anything, except your ethics and character too seriously.........guys come and go, but your integrity stays with the YOU that you will become. Youâll always have Îfeelingsâ for Îold flamesâ, just remember, you donât have to act on Îfeelingsâ........you are judged by your actions, and your ACTIONS are under your control. (And, at the point that dreadfully dull homily sounds less than dreadfully dull, you will be Îgrownupâ enough to have picked a mate.)
- Annabelle
