Q - Dear Annabelle,
What should I do if I love this boy with all my heart and soul. He claims he loves me too, but now he likes this other girl. The other girl is my friend and she does not want to be in a relationship with him at all. He did like her before we even started messing. I love this boy so much and I don't want to see him get hurt even though Its hurting me to see him so much as look at another girl. I don't want to lose him. what should I do?
A - Dear Latoya,
Oh dear, this is not good. My telling you that youâll grow up and all this pain will be a distant memory doesnât get the job done here right now, does it? What should you do? Well, the best you can EVER do is to be your lovely sweet charming delightful self. If that isnât enough, well, youâre just barking up the wrong tree. Sorry, it happens.
The very best way to reduce the chances of this ever happening again is to turn yourself into a very educated and charming young woman. The more accomplished you become, (i.e., learning what make the world work and how YOU, Latoya, can get along without a guy....âcause guys go after that which is difficult to get)...the better chance youâll have of having guys who want YOU.
I know itâs not fair....life seldom is. I was once quite smitten with a guy. He took me horseback riding and another girl, upon seeing him, fell off her horse. Guess who ended up with the guy?..she did. Guess what kind of guy he turned out to be? right......a twit. The really great guys go for the really wonderful women.
I know that doesnât help right now, but in a few years, youâll be glad you took the time to create a Îbetter and betterâ you. Meanwhile, maybe heâll come to his senses and see that you ARE what heâs looking for. I hope so. But, if that doesnât eventuate, well, go for plan B.
- Annabelle
