Q - Dear Annabelle,
Iām married more than 10 years but husband committed adultery with 24 year old girl, this is the 3rd adultery he committed, and now I'm 2 months pregnant, he doesn't know but, please advise whether I should go for abortion?
A - Dear J,
This is a question that I cannot answer for you. While I am absolutely pro-choice, the Īchoiceā that I am for is ........a decision not to have unprotected sex with an unsuitable partner BEFORE having intercourse that could result in a new life.
While your situation is a difficult one, should your children pay the price for their fatherās behavior? It is they who are the innocents. It is YOU who are remaining with him and YOU who are having unprotected sex. YOU have a responsibility here too. Iām sure that his behavior is just heartbreaking for you and Iām very aware that, in your country, the economic and social situation is very, very different from here in the U.S.
If you are staying with him because it is better to have a cheating husband than to have no husband, that is understandable. If marital counseling is available to you, go yourself if he will not go with you. At this great distance, I cannot be of any substantial help.
Much good fortune to you, and, in the future.........think about what options you may have so, at least, this situation will not arise again.
