Should I Give Him A Chance?

Submitted by: Rose

Q - Dear Annabelle,
From January, I was going with one bus then, after two months, the driver for that bus started to become nice to me. The last month he asked me for a date but I told him I have to think about that. When we had a talk on the bus he asks if I can meet his mama.

Now I do not know what to do. He was telling me that the money, it is not a problem. Do you have any idea how much money bus driver get? Do you think I can give him a chance? Another thing, he doesn't know I have a degree, only what I told him that I am a refugee.

A - Dear Rose,

From what you say, it sounds as if the bus driver is looking for a Īwifeā type person. Might that be you? Whenever a gentleman asks for you to Īmeet his mamaā, itās generally an Īon approvalā type situation.

You say that you have a degree and that you are unsure of what a bus driverās salary is. He may have an educational background of which you are unaware, or simply be a Īdiamond in the roughā.........someone with whom you might have a wonderful friendship. Ask him what his plans for the future are, what his lifeās passions are. It may be that he has grand dreams to make something more of himself one day.

Should you give him a chance? Well, why not? If heās a decent, kind, interesting person with a passion for learning and growing, keep in mind that many of our most solid citizens started out in this country in humble professions.
