I Love Texas.

Q - Dear Annabelle,
I am in love with a guy in Texas. We are both divorced. He is 58 divorced for fourteen years and I am 41 am divorced for two. I have five children 17,15,14,10 and 6. His are 21 and 17. We have talked every day since August. He visited unexpectedly for five days in October. I am going to visit in December. We have a mutual friends, my brother is his best friend, who believes this relationship is simply wonderful and so do we. I have know him most of our lives. We are so much alike. He will be moving to my area in March and I can't wait.

Do you see a problem with the age thing. Some do some don't. We are not out to bring more children into our lives, just love what God has given us already and a very loving relationship. All the kids love the thought of Texas and I. It seems too good to be true. What do you believe in this day and age?

A - Dear M,
That you have know him for most of you life, and that your brother thinks the relationship is Îsimply wonderfulâ bodes well for the outcome. From what you have told me, (heavens, with five children, that you sound like a reasonable person at all is impressive), I find no problem with the fifteen year age difference. You are aware, Iâm sure that at some point it is likely that you will be in excellent health, with his health declining, but, again, you sound like a strong and reasonable woman able to handle the exigencies of life, and Texans can be tough olâ birds. It speaks volumes that the children are in favor of this as well.

Out country was built by strong people of great determination and I see no problems here if everyone is aware of potential challenges and are willing to put courage and good character toward solving anything that might come up. That you can now form your own baseball team could be lots of fun, ......heaven knows that a good marriage and the raising of strong young people to grow and contribute to making this a better world is most definitely a team effort.

Much good fortune to you!
