I'm 51...She's 16.

Q - Dear Annabelle,
I am a man, age 51. I am in love with a woman who is 16. Can this work?

A - Dear B,
Itās sort of a rule of thumb that, when youāre old enough to be the personās babysitter, or, in your case, father, that the Īrelationshipā is so unequal as to be untenable....in other words....NO. A 16 year old is not a Īwomanā. Where are her parents in all of this? Where is HER father or brothers?

Your question brings another question to mind......how is it that you are not involved with women, who ARE women, who are closer in age to yourself? If you are very smart, considering the strong California laws about child molestation, I would find anything other than being around this young girl to do with my time.

I do understand that young girls can be lovely.......all of life has it's beautiful points. This relationship, as desired by you, is entirely inappropriate and would, almost certainly, be harmful to her. ĪLoveā is desiring what is best for someone. If you are truly Īin loveā with her, then let her grow and develop into the person she is meant to be, with people in her own age and stage appropriate group.
