Q - Dear Annabelle,
Is it possible for someone who says they Ījust want to be friendsā to fall in love with you later in the relationship?

A - Dear Dawn,

Well, yes, it certainly CAN happen, but, in my experience, when a guy says that.....thatās JUST what he means. Guys tend to say exactly what they mean.....itās we females who keep trying to Īput a spin on itā. Thereās an old saying Īalways take a tip from the jockeyā..meaning the fellow riding the horse knows how the horse may run. Now, if youāve nothing better to do for the next couple of years and youāre willing to hang out with your fellow......well, see what happens. I wouldnāt put any bets on it though.

Q - Dear Annabelle,

Thanks for answering my question...Iāve been hearing the same advice lately...Iāve never been in this situation..falling in love with someone who insists on staying in my life but only wants to be my friend....I donāt usually keep a guy in my life who I am interested in who just wants to be friends....itās called Īconflict of interestā.....but I am willing to try this...it is a hard challenge...the truth is I donāt think he really knows what he wants.....he says too many things that friends donāt usually say to each other....Iām definitely not going to wait for him, Iām not that kind of girl....no guy is worth that...but I do hope he is Īthe oneā.

...thanx a lot....your advice was good....

A - Dear Dawn,

Re-read what you wrote to me...youāre sending, (yourself), two different messages. Now, that you are hoping that things will work out serves a very definite purpose for you. With a Īfoot in two different campsā, as it were, you, or at least your unconscious, has a very definite purpose in mind. Neither of us, (likely), knows just what that purpose is, just be aware that IS what you are doing and that you ARE doing it because it serves YOU in some way. Anyway, enjoy.... one never knows!....(though one....at least THIS one....can guess!)
