I always seem to pick men who don't want anything to do with me, I am attracted to
men who are like my father. He left when I was six years old and never really bothered with me or my sisters.

As you have guessed, you are recycling old pain into the current day....and this will require (about) two years hard work with a good psychologist to begin to repair. Your old tape that is running goes something like this: ÎIf I just _______(fill in the blank)_______, daddy will love me and wonât leave me ......(this time). Itâs just as simple, and as complicated, as that. Early scriptings with uncompleted Îloopsâ create enormous mischief in adultâs lives. You are trying to Îprove that daddy DOES love youâ...something that you will, perhaps, be able to release with the help of good therapeutic work. Good luck to you. This is a toughie......you want to be an adult, and youâre still stuck in childhood. For what itâs worth, you arenât alone.......this one is a classic scenario.
You may want to spend some time, (if possible), doing repair work with your dad.
