Moving In Together.

Q - Dear Annabelle,
My boyfriend is still living with his ex-girlfriend until their lease is up. Is it a mistake for me to ask him to move in with me instead of staying with her until their lease is up? I know he wants to move in with me but I've never lived with anyone before and am afraid to make the decision.

A - Dear Karen,

Is there a shortage of boyfriend material in your town? Decent men donāt shack up with their girlfriends.....they MARRY them. So, what does this make you? Well, letās take a look at the person YOU think of as a Īboyfriendā. Youāre just waiting for HIM to move out of HER place so he can MOVE IN WITH YOU. Gee, I wonder whoāll be next on his agenda?

Karen, WHY are you Īvolunteeringā for this humiliating position? Is this what, at your age, you want your life to be about? Are you THIS lonely? Have you so little to offer, not only another person, but YOURSELF, that youāre just happy if his shoes are under YOUR bed for a change? Is this just your lifeās dream? This is what YOU, Karen have always wanted for yourself?

(So much for the soap box rant). Is your Īasking him to move in with you instead of staying with her a mistake?ā Karen, the whole setupās a mistake......and you know it.

You can.....and with some seriously good work on yourself with a good therapist, grow yourself into the kind of person whom a guy wants to marry.....not just Īshack upā with.
- Annabelle
