Q - Dear Annabelle,
I've been with this straight cop for a week now. A lot of things have happened thus far. I know he really likes me as do I him, but his best friend, who is a lesbian, is trying to convince him that he is straight, even though he has been with me and has deep feelings for me.
He and I really get along and have both agreed that we are going to commit to a long term relationship. My fear is that since we've only known each other for a week, that she will convince him, out of pure greed, that he should be straight. Also, the best friend just broke up with my best friend, therefore she is very bitter. Please help. I feel like I'm falling!!! ???????
What should I do to better cope with this feeling?

Youāre fooling yourself. Youāre afraid that this copās best friend will Īconvince him heās straightā. Could ANY one convince YOU that youāre straight?? From the tone of your letter, I doubt it. Someone whoās capable of making a choice on a matter as important as this must be left to decide.................for himself.
You canāt play with other peopleās lives. Donāt set yourself up as God. It this cop is as confused about his own sexual orientation as you say he is, the only decent thing is to leave him alone until HE has decided. Thereās another possibility, of course, that he enjoys having you and his Ībest friendā fight over him. All in all, the whole thing sounds like a recipe for disaster and pain.................and .........guilt.
Find someone who knows what he wants. Youāll both be happier.
