Q - Dear Annabelle,
I have been seeing this guy for about a little over a year. We have a good relationship despite the occasional fights that usually get resolved. However, he has recently told me that "he is addicted to sex." Then he proceeded to tell me that he fantasizes about other women, particularly about a certain girl that is in one of his classes. (I know that he liked this girl before we started dating but I never imagined that he still thought about her, especially in this way).
Is this normal? The way in which he told this to me was very casual, and he said that he told me because he doesn't want to keep anything from me (I wish that he had). Now, all I can think about is his thinking about this girl, i.e. when we are having sex.
What should I do?
A - Dear Julie,
LOSE HIM!! Oh, puleeeze....! Addicted to sex? Look, if he IS, you donāt want him. If heās just lying, you donāt want him................or, DO you? Do you WANT some guy whoās after every grass skirt in town? Get a grip, here!
Julie, this question is about who YOU are. Do you believe that you deserve nothing better than someone who has no morals, manners, character, or respect for YOU?
End of session.
- Annabelle
