Q - Dear Annabelle,
My best friend just returned from the Navy. He has no job and has approximately 10 days to make a $280 car payment. I offered my help when I found out he was coming home, but I don't earn much and i still need to make a payment at college. I love him dearly and don't want to say no. I just do not know what to do. It has been a week and he still
has no job.
Please help me to decide COLLEGE OR HIS CAR??

That's an easy one. College!
Your friend received mustering-out pay when he was discharged from the Navy. What did he do with that money? He must have known he had a car payment due. If you're really his friend, you'll help him learn his lesson about responsibility now, and get his feet set on the right path for civilian life; you won't aid and abet juvenile irresponsibility. DONāT rescue people.
