Do I Want A Relationship?

Submitted by: Melissa

Q - Dear Annabelle,
I am 23 years old and have been seeing this guy for the last 5 months. He broke up with his ex to be with me.. we have kissed and made out but never we have never had sex.. I am wondering if I should ask him where we are headed and how to approach the subject.

He says he Īlikes meā and does special things for me. Recently, he got posted overseas and he calls regularly and emails me. Should I ask him for a relationship? I mean, I would like to know where this is headed. I asked him before, but he said he knows he Īlikes meā, but can't seem to get over the guilt from breaking up with his ex, and he does think of her and misses her. What should I do? I don't want to get hurt and i do like him a great deal.

A - Dear Melissa,

You say youāre 23, but you sound much younger......much too young to be concerned about having a long distance relationship with someone. Especially with someone who has all but told you that he has feelings for someone else. Do you realize that you sound very, very dependent?

Why donāt you spend your time and interests on your SELF? As in, getting a really good education and a good job so you can become financially independent....so guys will want YOU because they find YOU so exciting?

Very few guys really want a clingy, forlorn, dependent female around. Donāt go through life pinning your hopes on other people.........youāll get what you want a lot more quickly if you learn to pin your hopes on YOU!
