So Hot Before, So Cold Now!

Q - Dear Annabelle,
Hi, I'm in love with a man 10 years my senior. He is a night club bouncer, (had secret society background), but is kind hearted and seems the perfect guy for me. He treats me like a lady, is soft spoken and gentlemanly.

Basically, I'm attracted to his character, so strong and there is a sense of maturity and sensitivity .there is physical attraction as well, undeniably and he shares the same interest with me. We are really good friends for 2 months until he started holding my hand one night on an outing and behaving intimately.

Later, I questioned his gesture and he replied that we are just very good friends. It hurts a lot to know that but after that outing, he started avoiding me by shutting off his hand phone and if i manage to find him, will reply that he Îis very busyâ. He did mention that as a bouncer, his job is quite dangerous and he Îwon't let a girl fall in love with him so as not to let her downâ, but why did he let it all happen and after that avoid me?

A - Dear Patricia,

Have you ever noticed that James Bond isnât good at forming long-term relationships either? (He did get married once and look what happened to HER! Seriously, men who are attracted to that lifestyle are, with VERY few exceptions, of a personality type, (which is also a disorder), that does not lend itself to hearth and home and long romantic lives raising small children.

YOU are not acting in your own best interests, loosely translated, that means that youâve been pestering him and THAT is not a good idea, either. When someone says Înoâ...in whatever form, move on. Now, that this person is attractive to you indicates that your maturity level isnât where YOUR best interests lie. You might want to spend some time with a good psychologist and discover what motivation, currently hidden from you, is driving you to this kind of person.
